Here’s some information about the birding park and trails, etc:
"With more than 9 miles of scenic trails that wind around the refuge, up the ridges, and down to the waterfront, hikers and bird-watching enthusiasts find Seven Islands an ideal location for avian observation as well as a leisurely hike. The trails highlight the park's diverse habitat.
The park lies along the migratory routes of many bird species, and during the breeding season, we will all find birds nesting at the refuge. Popular sightings include Purple Martins and Tree Swallows.
Be sure to include the Merlin bird identification app on your cell phone or your favorite bird identification handbook in your backpack. You may even like having a small sketch pad tucked away in your pack for that quick burst of creativity.
